Lori Janak is a pilgrimage group leader, who manages Amazing Grace Pilgrimages. Since the age of 19, she has been traveling internationally, including Australia, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, England, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Liechtenstein, Ireland, Tahiti, Guam, Bahamas, St. Marteen, Grenada, Aruba, Anguilla, Switzerland, Canada, and the Netherlands.
Lori was born and raised Catholic, but it was not until she began a re-catechesis in the Catholic faith in 2015 that her spiritual journey began to unfold. Two years later, she had a profound, life-changing encounter with God and within a few weeks, she was on a plane headed to the Holy Land. It was on that pilgrimage Lori received the calling to lead group pilgrimages.
Lori has been featured in many news and media publications, including The Facts, Guadalupe Radio Network, The Catholic Herald and The Lighthouse. Her passion for pilgrimage, hospitality and experiential learning is evident through her presentations and feedback from those who have been on pilgrimage with her.
Lori holds a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, with endorsements in Reading and English as a Second Language; a MA in Educational Leadership and Management; and taught for many years at the college level. Her background also includes being an educational trainer for a major publishing company, an educational group travel leader, and a flight attendant for Continental Airlines. Lori resides in the Houston area with her husband and three children.
